Yet, another unique import finds it's way to the SG USA
office, a round-the-world collaboration orchestrated by Italy's Freeland
Records! This split single features Skin Graft's masters of math-punk-jazz,
COLOSSAMITE, and Freeland's whirlwind, WHITE TORNADO! From the sands of
Minneapolis come COLOSSAMITE - the meeting ground of hardcore, noise and
sophisticated improvisation. Membership includes card-carrying gents from
DAZZLING KILLMEN, ICEBURN, GORGE TRIO and DEERHOOF. Their song "Gusts
Of Lead" appears here and nowhere else! Italy's WHITE TORNADO made some
noise in the states with their debut album "From Hand To Mouth" which
was produced by Don Zientara at Inner Ear Studios and released by Freeland
Records. Their contribution is the non-LP track "Contrived". What do they
sound like? Well Freeland says KING CRIMSON and ZZ TOP meet BIG BLACK
and SONIC YOUTH. Sounds good to us! And to top it all off, this single
has exclusive cover art from Amphetamine Reptile / Halo Of Flies head
honcho Tom Hazelmeyer!
