BRISE-GLACE is the "cut-up"
band formed by Jim O'Rourke, Darin Gray, Thymme Jones & Dylan Posa. In
the tradition of CAN, THIS HEAT and FAUST, BRISE-GLACE is as much about
deconstructing the functions of rock music, as it is operating as a rock
band. Shifting moods and temper, BRISE-GLACE masterfully interweave disparate
introductory "scenes" that simultaneously challenge expectations and question
definitions. Also featured are Henry Kaiser, Christoph Heeman (HNAS) and
David Grubbs. "The most intriguing rock music of the 90's" - the WIRE

FUN FACT(S):
U.S. Maple's first LP, "Long Hair In Three Stages" was taped
over the outtakes from this album. All of the edits on "When In
Vanitas" were hand cut by Jim's trusty razor blade - no computers!
Well under 1,000 copies of the original vinyl pressing exist! Many were
damaged by the freight carrier enroute to Europe. Brise-Glace is french.
It's the most mispronounced band name in the SKiN GRAFT discography.
