ITEM(!): Montreal’s AIDS Wolf and SKiN GRAFT Records are proud to announce the first ever CD releases of two of the band’s most elusive LPs - originally issued by the legendary label Lovepump United (Genghis Tron, HEALTH, Child Abuse).
Now live at Bandcamp: the “Very Friendly” remix album (a tribute to Throbbing Gristle in collaboration with the likes of The Flying Luttenbachers' Weasel Walter and Wolf Eyes' John Olson) and the band's final album - the “Ma vie banale avant-garde” double LP. Digital Editions are now available to purchase at Bandcamp, with the CDs and a limited quantity of vinyl up for pre-orders - shipping on or before October 30th. Also available now - "March to the Sea" which includes the unremixed cover version of "Very Friendly".

AIDS WOLF
PDF One-Sheet
cat #: GR143CD & GR144CDRecorded at Dub Narcotic Studio in Olympia, WA. and originally released in 2011 as a double LP, the corpus of songs found on AIDS Wolf’s final album were written over the course of a year as the band shifted from its more formal work to a sound focused on polyrhythm and flowing, elastic tempos. On further listens, fields of dissonant guitar and demented, lurching tempos, give way to pixelated pop forms - albeit with a detuned loner dinosaur in its spotlight.
Here, the starting point of AIDS Wolf’s compositional approach was to “learn its mistakes”, composing songs by studying improvised passages off blown out cassette tapes recorded on a trusty GE tape portable device. Aiming to dampen the repetition endemic in most music, the band added elements of chance and non-repetitive phrasing, evolving the songs organically for their final resting place. In this frame and to the very end, AIDS Wolf remained devoted to forwarding and refining their musical vision; seeking new challenges for themselves and their audience.“AIDS Wolf’s monastic commitment to brutal prog-punk and strident no wave has hardened their music from a rough lump of coal into a jagged diamond.” - PITCHFORK

AIDS WOLF
"Very Friendly"
LP / Digipack MOD CD / Ult-Ed / Digital
( Pre-ORDER NOW at BANDCAMP )Immediately following their third album, AIDS Wolf released one of their most unique records in an already singular discography - a 12” bringing together some of the most important noise musicians of the past decade to remix their cover of Throbbing Gristle‘s “Very Friendly”.
The results are more visceral and bizarre than could ever be imagined: Nightmarish kraut conjured by The Flying Luttenbachers’ Weasel Walter; sparse, terrifying soundscapes from Wolf Eyes’ John Olson; searing noise and auto-tune from Baltimore lab rats Nautical Almanac; manic, pounding rhythms from Jason Forrest; and alienating, reverb-drenched skree from Cleveland’s Emeralds. “Very Friendly” is a one of a kind experience that most certainly does justice to Throbbing Gristle’s bold legacy.“Yes, it bears some surface resemblance to the No Wave bands of New York’s late ‘70s, and yes, it’s also quasi-Beefheartian, but this simmeringly ugly-beautiful non-categorizable thing that is the band is like an object lesson in modern, progressive, painfully pure music.” - LA WEEKLY

”Hoarder of Operations” plays out like a crazed vision of rock being torn apart and reassembled into a new, furiously chaotic and unrelentingly discordant beast... It’s notable too, how uninterruptedly enrapturing, these tracks are: even at their loosest and most deconstructed, they retain a passive, virile momentum, and there are points that begin to feel almost psychedelic, where Trull’s repetitive, mystically atonal guitar lines mesh with the frenzied, syncopated grooving of Piechocki’s drum work.”
- FECKING BAHAMASOn their debut album “Asbestos Mouth” the band TERMS give equal weight to tightly composed precision and spontaneous discovery, weaving together bold new worlds where crunchy dissonant riffs and pulverant, skewed melodies collide and consort with syncopated thunderstorms of percussion.Having served in acts such as Grand Ulena, Jitters and Yowie, TERMS is much more than just the sum of its parts... It is an ever-evolving an aggregate of incalculable expression.
“Danny Piechocki is ridiculous at drums." - GNARLAXX
“Guitarist Christopher Trull possesses the rare trifecta of unparalleled technique, endless creativity and excellent taste. He respects the instrument without succumbing to its pitfalls and pushes its sonic capabilities without the aid of effects." - RIVERFRONT TIMES

Full color covers with a screen printed plastic overlay, rump roast sticker on the 7" sleeve and mini card promoting an upcoming Rob Syers mini comic.
FUN FACT(S):
Strangulated Beatoffs were SKiN GRAFT's initial choice to appear on the flipside of the first SKiN GRAFT Records release, a split 7" with Dazzling Killmen. The band recorded "Lollipop Girl" for the single, but it remains unreleased, as do a handful of comic pages drawn by Rob Syers to tie into the song.
Originally a different track was recorded as the (Theme From) Fart Inhaler, but the band recorded an entirely new song at the 11th hour. This new version of "Fart Inhaler" would later also appear in an extended version on Behemoth Record's "Greatest Hits" collection and was retitled "It's A Vile Vile Vile World." When the Sin Raft bootleg of this double 7" was released (see below), the title was switched to "Vile Vile Vile World" as well.
Though now out of print, these songs were re-released (with radically different artwork) as "INXS: the Sin Raft Bootleg", catalog number SiN#02. It is now also out of print.
